Welcome To Our Neighborhood!
Over the past century, many of America’s inner-cities have slipped into poverty. God has raised up a number of wonderful ministries and rescue missions to address those needs. Their work is far from done. At the same time, smaller towns across the country have their own miniature version of the same situation. It is not difficult to find neighborhoods in most towns with populations between 4000-40,000 where people live near, at, or below the poverty level. Most often, people living in these neighborhoods do not feel like the Church cares about them. Some have been hurt by church experiences during their childhood. Many are afraid that they will be met with judgment and condemnation if they come to a Sunday church service. One of our goals is to try to help people see the church in a more positive light. Jubilee Inner-Town Ministries is an interdenominational Christian ministry made up of a partnership of eight local Bible-believing churches in our community. We are actively reaching into lower income neighborhoods in Cody, Wyoming. We are renting a mobile home in a local trailer park and have converted it into a ministry center. There, our volunteers show Christ’s love to families through organized activities and by just being available to serve and spend time with people. Though currently we only
have one ministry center in one neighborhood, through a network of
relationships,we are able to minister to many families in similar
situations who live in other parts of town. We occasionally help with repairs and monetary needs, but we believe the most important thing Christians can do to support those in need is to make true and mutual friendships with them so we can live life together. If you are interested in starting a similar ministry in your town,
please contact us. We would love to help.
